The integrated alpha channel support of AVI files in MAGIX Video Pro X5 allows users to import sequences from other compositing and 3D programs such as Adobe After Effects or Blender. Moreover, Adobe Photoshop files can be added to Video Pro X5 projects even if they contain multiple layers without having to convert file formats. Among other powerful tools, it features direct support of VST audio plug-ins and all current Breakout Boxes from Blackmagic Design. Already existing VSTs can be integrated directly into the audio workflow and preview images can be displayed on flat screens and control monitors in HDMI quality in real 1080i. Thanks to DirectX technology, it even supports output on a second monitor without a dedicated graphics card.
